After completing my foundation at St Martins I continued to study there for a fine Art degree before refining my passion towards advertising in a degree at London College of Communication/LCC. Above all, I love seeing how one is drawn to an advert, what draws you in, its air of the unknown, the feel of nostalgia it creates and how one engages with the idea. The un-thought known.
The Museum of Everything
After finishing at Saint Martins I worked for James Brett and helped him to develop The inaugural Museum of Everything: the branding and the art direction. This exhibition was a huge success and went on to tour Italy, Russia and last year featured in the Venice Biennale.
During my second and third year I worked for YBA Marc Quinn – famous for his pieces ‘Self’, ‘Alison Lapper’ and ‘Kate Moss in gold’. As head creative assistant, I not only helped him in the creation of his art but also with the overall artdirection and branding strategy. My thinking continues to be informed by fine art and my thesis examined the relationship of art and advertising – their interconnectedness and how they continually influence each other.
